Today this guy turned 21!
This is my nephew Evan and he is one of the best kids I know. He's smart, handsome, and loving.
In fact, we celebrated three birthdays today. Besides Evan's birthday we celebrated my sister's (June 28) and my mom's (July 6th)
Here the kids were trying to light up one of those sky lanterns.

however, it didn't get very far because it got caught in a tree. if it hadn't been for all the rain we had, we really would have been a little more worried than we were that the tree would catch on fire. but, the kids decided to get the hose anyway and try to put the fire out. unfortunately the tree was too tall and the hose too short but they kept at it until it finally burned itself out. the funniest quote by Erik "hurry up! I need more hose! The fire is going out!" haha. that is Erik with his quick sense of humor.
