one little word

health is my one little word this year. every year I think about what my word would be but none of them have called to me as strong as this word has to me this year. so much so that I signed up for Ali Edwards One Little Word class at Big Picture. I sat on the fence about that but I need to focus on my word and hold myself accountable. It's more than just losing some weight. It's about getting healthy in general. having more energy. sleeping better. being here for my family for a lot of years to come.

This word has actually been on my mind since last summer when my cousin Gary got sick. he passed away in September and was only two years older than me. Then this word really yelled to me when another cousin, Fran, had a stroke shortly after Gary's funeral. She's only five years older than me. Now a friend of mine who is four years older than me had a stroke and is in a coma. It forced me to look at how I live my life and the changes I need to make to become healthier.
