Guess what....

I've given up on the Project 365. thought I'd mention that if you haven't figured it out yet. I did make it to mid June with some pictures here and there through August. It was just too hard to keep up with it every day. Now I can concentrate on other projects that I don't finish. like, my vacation album, my 2010 calendar, and my last year vacation album. I have good intentions and all excited at the beginning, but half way through it's not so exciting any more but I will finish my other projects. I have to.

Right now, I'm excited about the BPS class that I'm taking, Yesterday and Today by Ali Edwards. Week 3 and I've kept up! but I'm so excited to be going through my old photos again and getting back to them. even journaling (which is what it's all about) hasn't been that bad

lots of projects going on around the house:

Kitchen - We put granite countertops in and new cabinet hardware. next up, the backsplash. we started looking at ceramic tile but haven't made a final decision yet. we're also getting new appliances and decided on black and for the record it's about time. my stove is almost 30 years old! but it still works. then new light fixtures and kitchen table. as long as it's done by Christmas all will be good.

Painting - Bill's been prepping and painting the outside of the house. he did finish the prep work but the weather turned too crappy to paint so we decided to just give it up and finish in the spring.

Concrete - the patio needs to be lifted where it sunk and the front needs some concrete replaced. we want to get the lifting done within the next couple of weeks but the rest will have to wait until spring.

We also need to get a new furnace. Our air conditioner has been on it's death bed all summer and we never knew if it would kick on or die. luckly it made it through the summer, but when I went to turn it on last september during the short heat wave, it died!

and last but not least, we're in the market for a new car. haven't started looking yet but we are tossing around a few ideas. hope to make the time to go look soon.

next year, new carpeting and family room furniture. whew!
