after being on the waitlist for a little over a year (which I totally forgot about) I get an email saying that I'm finally able to receive a check-in voucher for a chance to get a ticket to see tomorrow's American Idol live performance. the voucher works pretty much the same way it did when I had "tickets" to see the Ellen show. you have to get in line with your check-in voucher and get your tickets on a first come first serve basis. when we were in LA last year, we stayed at a hotel right across the street from CBS studios where the American Idol performaces were. we would see the first person start to line up at around 9:00am for a 3:30 admittance time. just for the fun of it, I went ahead and claimed my voucher. unfortunately I can't give it to the boys because it's non-transferable. not only that, but by the time I finished writing this little paragraph, I got another email stating that the performance is standing room only so wear comfortable shoes.
