Project 365 - Week 2

January 11 our backyard the day after the snowstorm

January 12 another picture from the snowstorm. this time I actually walked in the snow to the back of the property instead of taking the usual picture from the patio door.

January 13 my mom makes one of these every year for my sister and myself for the holidays. it's one of the traditions that she still carries over from her days when she was a kid in Austria when they didn't have money for christmas decorations. they start early in december planting wheat seeds in a shallow bowl with a candle in the center. by christmas the wheat is tall and hides the candle. when the candle is lit, it glows through the wheat.

January 14my drive into work. It was just before noon and the roads were unusually empty.

January 15one of my obsessions. I love purses, mostly Coach, but I do have a few others that I'll occasionally wear. I switch purses often so I'm sure there'll be more pictures to come.

January 16this was the temperature outside and inside when I woke up this morning. what is hard to see in the photo are the arrows that show which direction the temperature is going. the arrow for the inside temp is going up and the arrow for the outside temp is going down!

January 17I love logic problems, especially "art logic" but haven't picked up a puzzle in a long time. so on this cold, snowy (yes another snowy saturday) I found this while surfing the internet. I had a whole list of things I wanted to do today which included getting a start at cleaning out the basement but I got sucked in for the whole day and couldn't stop! I got nothing else done. I hate myself. ;0)

wow your backyard photos are beautiful! And I love the wheat/candle project your mom makes... what a nice tradition; I bet it's beautiful when it's lit up. And I SO want to know what site you're finding logic problems on. I have loved logic problems since I was little.

Great photos, and some days, it's okay not to get to the list. The logic problems sound interesting and fun.
