funny story

since October when I took on the new position at the store, my hours have been crazy. between the mess that was left behind by the previous position holder, preparing for the holiday rush, the holiday rush and my own commitments I never cooked dinner. It was mostly prepared meals from Schwans or Sam's Club or when I was really motivated I would throw something in the crockpot. sometimes I did manage to make a quick pasta or sloppy joe meal which thankfully provided a few leftovers. well, now that the holidays and all the craziness is over and getting all caught up at work, I've found myself with some extra time to cook. last week I sat down and went through my recipes including some new ones I tore out of the paper to try, made a list of ingredients and went grocery shopping. I vowed to cook a meal on my days off. so yesterday I made this recipe called "Cheaters Lasagna". hey, I'm not crazy. I still don't like to cook and prefer to make quick and simple meals. anyway, it was real good. in fact, bill liked it so much he asked me where I bought it. when I told him I made it. he asked,"from scratch!" yes, hell froze over.
