vacation - part I

We arrived at our condo in Manistee and boy, was I pleasantly surprised. We totally picked this place out over the internet just by searching. there were pictures but is it ever like the pictures, really? it seems that only the good stuff gets photographed but never the bad, KWIM? anyway, here it is.

things I liked - location and convience, indoor and outdoor pools with hot tubs, new, clean and it had a dishwasher!
things I didn't like - studio style condo with a double bed, small TV with no cable and only one channel, no internet (however I was able to pick up internet from another condo - sssh, don't tell ;0)

after dropping our stuff off in the condo, we went into the town of Manistee for dinner. ate at a little place called River Street Station and sat outside on the balcony overlooking the Manistee River. we walked along the riverwalk all the way to Lake Michigan, about 1.5 miles.

woke up on Sunday to a cold, cloudy, windy day. we decided to drive down to Ludington.

On Monday, we decided to just hang out around the condo. after all the walking we did yesterday, we were in no mood to go sightseeing. the day started out a little chilly, but the weather turned out to be perfect. we spent most of the day on the beach of Lake Michigan, reading and walking along the beach.



on Tuesday we drove up to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.
