We went to Wendy's house for her daughter Amanda's grad party on Saturday. We hardly see Bill's cousins but we went mostly to see Bill's dad and sibs, especially since we didn't want to make the 2 hour trek to Lansing to see his dad for Father's Day.
I had an "a-ha" moment when I noticed that the twins are becoming young ladies (they'll be 13 in December) and are no longer little girls - I was finally able to tell them apart! at least for now.
Tashy (short for Natasha and the one on the left) is her usual cute and natural self. Ally (short for Alexandra and the one on the right) is becoming the glamour girl - still cute but very conscience of her looks (notice how she styled her hair) and is very boy crazy. That's Colleen in the middle as always ;o)Colleen is the clown especially at photo time. Always making faces but I so love this photo of her.
and that is a butterfly sitting on her finger. It stayed there for such a long time that she was tired of it and moved it to her mother's finger.
Wendy lives near Imlay City and raises chickens. Janine was holding one of the hens almost the whole afternoon.
Ally and Ciera, who I think has the cutest face.

On Father's Day, we went to my parents for a barbecue and then went to the Carpathia Club for their annual Father's Day picnic (which is really a German Festival disguised as a Father's Day celebration). The usual brats, goulash and beer were being served and could be enjoyed while sitting under the tent listening to music being played by a german band or watching one of the soccer games that was going on all day. I wasn't interested in any of that. I just wanted to catch up with some old friends and meet up with Irene and Gerald. We stayed for a couple of hours and then headed home.
Oh, and today is my brother's 50th birthday. He's not a "talker" and lives in Texas so the only time I talk to him is when he comes into town, which is hardly ever.

Looks like you had a fun weekend.
that butterfly picture is great!
The picture of Colleen holding the butterfly is beautiful, and she's very pretty. And love the picture of the butterfly in color and the rest b&w.
Carrie
Look how cute the 3 of you are in that pic!
I scrolled throught the pictures before reading and was a little taken aback by the big old hen :)
Great pics, Monica! I love what you did with the butterfly one!
That must've been one laid back hen to be carried around all day!
