California Vacation - part I "the vacation"

no agenda planned for this trip. we pretty much did what we wanted, when we wanted. we did have a small list of things we wanted to do.

LA Farmer's Market. I love this place! we walked to the Farmer's Market from our hotel almost every day. picked up some fruit and goodies to take back to the hotel. we finally made it to the French Crepe Co. at the Farmer's Market for breakfast.


This has to be the best breakfast I ever had. A crepe stuffed with strawberries, pears, crushed hazelnut and chocolate.


Santa Barbara Wineries in Santa Ynez. The drive through the Santa Ynez Mountains was amazing.




A brief stop in Santa Barbara on our way back to LA for a walk along the beach and ice cream on the pier.





Santa Monica. One of our favorite places to visit while in LA.





A drive along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) from Santa Monica to Malibu.


and finally, our trip wouldn't be complete without a walk at least once to the Grove, an outdoor shopping mall in LA. The Grove is the mid-way point between Steven's apartment and our hotel. Sometimes we would meet him there for dinner.
