oh boy!

he's coming back home - again. Brian will be moving back to Michigan at the end of April. things haven't been improving much on the job. it was just his bad luck when he moved to California with a full time position and three weeks after he started working there, they made cutbacks and changed it to a part time position. he was able to pick up an extra day since then but still not enough to live in California. he's been making some extra money doing extra work for TV shows but it's still not enough and he's getting deeper in debt to his brother. I'm sure his decision didn't come easy as he swore he would not come home again. Steven decided to move into his own place when their lease came up for renewal forcing Brian to make a decision. he would have to look for his own place with a new roommate. realizing that it wouldn't be easy without his safety net, he decided to come home. LA Fitness has a couple of locations here in Michigan and he's hoping to be able to transfer to the one closest to us. he'll be flying home and shipping his car back. after doing some research, we found that the fee wasn't as outrageous as we expected. if he drove home and added up all the expenses, gas, wear and tear on the car, hotel, and food there really wasn't that much difference in cost. add in the expense of shipping his stuff home that he can't take on the plane but will be able to put in his car, it comes pretty close even with the cost of the plane ticket.

he's planning to go back to school and study film editing and pursue that as a career. he really enjoyed that while doing his interning with the production company (unfortunatly, they were not able to offer him a job at the end of the internship as planned). now that more and more movies are being filmed here in Michigan and a studio is being built near us, the colleges around here are adding all sorts of film training to their curriculm. and just for the record, I was really kidding when I told him a few months ago that he should move back here when we heard about the studio being built nearby with all kinds of job opportunities in the filming industry.
