We had Dad's birthday party yesterday at my house. I was in no mood to host a party but I think I seriously needed it. Once I got my mind set in party mode things were good. I've been so obsessed with work lately that everything else took a backseat. It was good to spend the day with the family and not think about anything else. It was a small party, 15 people, but that was what Dad wanted. Actually, if we would have let him have his way, he wouldn't have had a party at all but we couldn't have that. 80 years is major!
I had a nice little surprise yesterday. Steven called to tell me that he was booking his and Brian's flight home for Christmas. They'll be home for 2 1/2 weeks! He did have to extend it a little longer because of airfare. It turned out to be cheaper by coming home a few days earlier than he originally planned but I'm not complaining. Especially since we have to pay for Brian's ticket and we'll save $250
