Happy Birthday, Brian!!!

Brian is 22 years old today!!! Things have finally come together for him. When he finished school at NPTI (National Personal Training Institute), he was very discouraged with not being able to find a job. I believe that he lost his confidence and quit trying. It was easier for him to just move back home. It was what he needed to do at the time. He needed to regroup and re-evaluate what he wanted.
He tried finding a job here in Michigan, but had no luck. He started having doubts about his career choice. Maybe he shouldn't be a personal trainer. He decided to go back to school and take some business courses. He finally found a job at Guess. He liked working there and thought that maybe he should go into retail. All the time, wishing he was back in California. Maybe he could go to school here and live in California during the summer. He was trying so hard to make things work.
In the meantime, we were planning a trip out to California. Brian decided to use this opportunity to try again at finding a job in California as a personal trainer. He contacted Julie, the director at NPTI, and she gave him some leads on gyms that were hiring. He spruced up his resume and was ready. He got hired by the first gym he went to.
He's been there now for two weeks and loves it. When we talk to him, you can hear how happy he is in his voice. He says its the best job ever. He now has five clients and is working his way up. So proud of him! So happy to see him living his dream!
Oh, and he's still working on his modeling career. He had a photo shoot this past weekend. He's still hoping to have that take off for him but for now he's content with the way things are.
