We rang in the New Year our usual way - movie and then dinner. We went to see Enchanted. I really enjoyed it but I don't think it was exactly what Bill was expecting. He said he liked it but I think he secretly wished he was watching something else. Dinner was at our usual New Year Eve's place - Ristourante Di Fratello's. We stumbled upon it purely by accident several years ago while trying to avoid the restaurants by the mall. We loved it so much, we've been back every year since! Bill's sister Janet joined us this year. She was by herself and really wanted to just get out of the house. I personally would have enjoyed the quiet time to stay home, watch old movies and scrap but to each their own.
Brian and his friend Brian drove up to Michigan State for a party and Steven went to his friend's Phil. We had a snowstorm during the night and was glad that both Brian and Steven were planning on spending the night at their respective parties however I heard one of them coming home at 6:00am. It turned out that Brian's friend decided he didn't want to spend the night so they drove home in the snowstorm all the way from Lansing. It took them three hours! So glad I didn't know that until they were home safe.
